Loose ceiling vent? Fix it in seconds. No tools. No Hardware.
FitVents is a screwless, friction-fit ceiling & wall vent that actually stays put in damaged drywall.
Why Your Vents Keep Falling Out
- Drywall gets compromised - patches and repairs; screws stop biting properly.
- Old vents discolor, deform, and rattle.
- One loose, crooked vent makes a finished reno look cheap instantly.
Loose Ceiling Vent & Damaged Drywall – FAQ
How do I fix a ceiling vent that keeps falling out of the drywall?
When a vent keeps falling out, the drywall around the opening is usually cracked or stripped. Instead of trying to re-use the old screw-in vent, replace it with a friction-fit vent cover. FitVents grips the duct opening itself so the vent locks in place and stops dropping out of the ceiling.

What if the drywall around my vent is destroyed or over-cut?
If the hole was cut too big or the drywall is crumbling, screws won’t hold for long. FitVents is designed for exactly that situation. It expands inside the duct opening and uses pressure to stay tight, even when the drywall edge is rough, damaged, or oversized. This scenario may also require S-Cleats which stiffen up the duct boot and allow Fitvents to do their job.

Can I fix a loose ceiling vent without tools or hardware?
Yes. FitVents installs without screws, anchors, or tools. You remove the old vent, push FitVents into the duct opening, and it locks in place in seconds. It’s a clean solution for loose vents in finished spaces where you don’t want to patch and repaint.

Will FitVents work if the existing screw holes are stripped or missing?
FitVents does not rely on screw holes at all. The vent holds itself in place by gripping the inside of the duct opening, so stripped, missing, or badly placed screw holes are not an issue.

Does this work on ceilings only, or also on walls and floors?
FitVents is built for ceilings, walls, and floors. The same friction-fit design works in any orientation, so you can fix loose vents throughout the home using the same style of register.

How long does it really take to fix a loose vent with FitVents?
Most people install each FitVents cover in under a minute. There’s no mudding, sanding, or waiting for repairs to dry. You simply remove the old vent, press FitVents into the opening, and the job is done.
